Ce matin, après une nuit réparatrice, nous ne partirons qu’à 9 h sans petit déjeuner. Il faut bien le dire pas très motivés, mais l’étape n’est pas très longue.

Malheureusement il nous faudra attendre plus de 15 kms pour prendre à la fois le petit déjeuner et le déjeuner, car aucun village avant.

Quasiment de suite, nous trouverons un large sentier à travers la pinède que nous emprunterons jusqu’au village de Kapikaya, autrement dit jusqu’à notre pause.

Aujourd’hui les vaches remplaceront les chiens, effectivement pendant plusieurs centaines de mètres 3 vaches nous accompagneront.

Pendant les 3/4 de l’étape nous resterons en montagne et grimperons jusqu’à 800 mètres de quoi nous rappeler les Alpes bavaroise, bien sûr en miniature.

Un moment donné nous assisterons à d’énormes coupes de bois, près d’un millier de mètres cubes de bois attend impatiemment son enlèvement….il va sans doute faire froid cet hiver ! De temps en temps, grâce aux coupes, nous aurons de belles vues sur les montagnes environnantes.

A l’entrée de l’unique village que nous traverserons de la journée, notre charmant chemin laissera sa place à une petite route goudronnée que nous suivrons pendant 2 kms jusqu’à arriver sur la grande route reliant Bergame. Il ne nous restera plus que 3 kms à faire à pied, mais pourtant nous ferons de l’auto stop pour terminer l’étape.

Très rapidement, un gentil couple s’arrêtera pour nous ramener dans la grande ville voisine (120000 habitants). Nous ferons la connaissance de Behram, un ancien joueur de football professionnel qui aujourd’hui s’est reconverti en entraîneur, et de sa charmante épouse Aliye.

Avant de rejoindre notre hébergement, nous irons dans une bijouterie « Enes Kaya » pour changer des euros en livres turques. C’est là que nous ferons la connaissance d’Enes et de sa très gentille maman qui nous servira le çay et offrira même à Geneviève une pochette en cuir. Merci à cette adorable famille.

La tête pleine d’émotions nous rejoindrons la clinique dentaire de Metin, notre hôte d’un soir (warmshower). C’est là, qu’après avoir dîner avec Metin et 2 autres françaises en vélo de passage à Bergame et leur hôte, nous passerons la nuit.
